Supercharger/Plenum Polishing $499??

Supercharger/Plenum Polishing $499??
I am planning on sending my supercharger/plenum to apten to get PNP. So I emailed them about polishing the outside of the blower/plenum. Their price is $499.00. I don't know what this stuff cost so what do you all think about that price? I know it is a PITA but I would love to do it myself, could I get all the tools necessary for less than $499.00?
Also, FYI they have a group buy for the PNP work for $440.00 now.

FYI - that $440 is a great price, as all the work is done by machine, and the porting is duplicated exactly each time, so you know you're getting a quality job!
Once the funds are there, I'll be doing the same.
...as far as the polishing - it's a P.I.T.A. to do. Many hours with sandpaper, polishing wheels, and the likes... it can be done by yourself, but you're paying for the man hours to do it. It's not a 2 hour job.
