Lower Pulley Removal

I am a new member with a problem. I am currently installing a 4 Lb. Lower pulley on my 2001. The tool that comes with the kit to remove the stock lower pulley twisted off flush with the pulley (yes I was turning it clockwise!!). Any one had this problem before. I am trying to figure out how to get the 14mm piece out of the pulley hole. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

how many miles are on the truck? I have heard people having trouble getting the stock pulley off after it gets a bunch of miles on it.I had trouble getting a pulley on my buddys 99 the other day and it only has 14,000 miles on it. I didnt have much trouble getting the pulley of my truck since i did it at a little over 1,000 miles on the truck. Im not shure what the best bet on the socket broke of in there. Id probley drill or cut it out with a dremel if it was me.

Try to tap it out with a screw-driver and a hammer. Hit it at different angles. It should come out.

I actually just tapped it with a hammer lightly and pulled it out with a magnet. I bought a regular allen socket and was able to get the pulley off with that.
