The original fender inlet once moving
and Last BUT NOT LEAST
It takes fresh "COOL AIR" from the front lower grill,
(extremly helpful lowering air inlet temp at high speeds)

That seems like a really good intake but I hear its a bitch to install. And what about that lower grill part? Wouldn't water and stuff get in it.

I have mine piped differant with 3" stainless steel,

I found the box to be extremly easy to install,
and cutting a little plastic in the wheel well,
is a two second job.

Yes rain, sand, leaves, gravel, and even farm animals
do get in the inlet, but it's never created a problem.
Thousands and thousands of us use them.
Ya you need to clean it a few times a year.

Example, I cleaned mine a few weeks ago


It's no biggy at all, you simply bang the filter against your stoop,
and your good to go another 1/2 a year, hehehehehehe

 

Ya Rob you can get a new one from Ford. Just go to a dealership close to you and ask for a label request form. Fill it out with your VIN number and all that and pay like $4 and you should have it in about a week or two.

 

Or you could clean your filter the proper way and use a K&N filter cleaning kit. Which not only cleans your filter but lets you reoil it.
