The blowers are the same 99/00 and 01/04. It is just the bolt pattern that changed(for the updated intercooler).
Maybe they had some 99/00 blowers laying around or they needed that bolt pattern for a particular reason?

Definitely some interesting prototype pics, but it's not an 05 Lightning motor. They are 3 valve. Or at least the preproduction trucks being tested right now are. I've seen pics taken from Vegas dealer drive a month or so back, and the Gen 3 preproduction truck that was being driven was 3 valve. These pics look to be prototype Ford GT parts. The 16 injector setup gives that away (as well the words "Ford GT" written on the brace). Oh, and remember when I said 99/00 style blowers were being used on the Ford GT test motors and everyone screamed twin screw back at me? That's a 99/00 blower on that motor .

We think by the wear on the engine that it has near 100,000miles on it.

Also I think that ford built this for the GT and the Lightning but decided to change to the 3 valve when they went to that.

This engine was built in April of 2000. Thats what the numbers say on it.

I also got a prototype 03 cobra engine the other day in an 01 cobra from around detroit.

Roush builds these prototype pieces for Ford. The 03 cobra engine has a different blower brace and its is MUCH beefier then the factory pieces. It also says ROUSH right in the casting by where the alternator goes. The intercooler and blower are also different. It has a Ford racing 86mm throttlebody and the coolant for the intercooler comes out the front. It has an interchangeable front pulley and the blower looks to be a twin screw NOT an eaton. I will get pics when I can but I am rarely at my storage shop.

I don't know what I'm doing with the engine yet but if the 1000hp engine isn't enough for my Lighting then I will build this thing and put it in.

Keep this thread going I like talking to people. I don't get to talk to other Ford enthusiasts often because of where I like , GM town USA. (we have 4 GM plants in this 10 mile radius)

My father owns a Speed Shop in Pendleton, IN

Its called Performance Plus Speed Shop

I want to talk to someone on this board about advertising but I can't find who to talk to.

Thanks for the board!!!

what would you do with it? Im curuious what the benefit would be aside from easier fuel management in infrastructure. But in the end how would you run the thing? Just seperate engine management from the stock pcm?

btw cool pics. Interested in seeing what your gonna throw that into.
