Spoke to JL

I spoke to John this morning, and like I thought me and John were able to come to a understanding. I was sure it was my faught that the head gaskets went. Was I mad? Sure, but I knew it was not Johns fault I did not want to make it out like it was his. My major problem was losing oil. If it is the bad seals then it is not Johns faught nor mine, but it has to be fixed. We talked for a while and I explained I had a man down here that could fix it.
I have always stuck with JLP cause of how they make things "right". John is going to send me a new set of heads and hopefully that is the problem. I do regret getting on here and speaking of my problems without "cooling" down. I just wanted to get back on here, and prove to everyone one thing I have always felt about the poeple behind JLP....They are world class people, and go beyond the call of duty to make their customers happy.

Charlie,

Cool, hit me on the Nextel and I'll swing up to the shop and watch you guys talk. I need to get my truck up on the dyno anyway.

It's good to see vendors and clients working out their differences. IMHO humility shows character...something you both display in this thread.

Good to hear things got resolved. I just wish JLP was closer so I could take my truck and get it dyno tuned by him.

More power to you(you'll need it), but I wouldn't want to be in your shoes.

If the heads from a 13K motor are causing oil consumtion at the rate you spoke of before, they did not "go beyond the call of duty". They did as they should have done and are attempting to make it right.

I commend them for doing the RIGHT thing and hope they will continue to do so, but let's not start acting like the vendors on this sight are doing us a favor to stand behind the products we pay PREMIUM prices for. They owe us that as customers.

Glad to hear your happy with the outcome and thanks for posting that you where having a problem with a built motor. It helps the rest of us to know what to watch for.

High performance teflon valve seals cost less than $25 for all 16, with a 13k motor its the very least JLP could do for his customer. Good job on making things right.

03LightninRocks..........YOU SAID IT PERFECTLY!!!! It is their responsibility to make sure customers are happy. Especially with $13,000 bills to pay. There should not have been all of this finger pointing before a solution was reached.

If I spent that kind of $ and something happen to the
New Motor, I WOULD NOT attack the Vendor, especially
a great guy, awesome builder, and Vendor like Johnny.

However Johnny would see a grown man Cry + Beg for Help
