Super Charger removal?

What's up guy's....

With the recent group buy from Apten, I need some help with the removal of the stock Eaton.

I'm sure I could figure this out, but, I don't want to screw anything up.

Anybody got a step-by-step?

You know do's and Dont's...

Thanks Bro's.......

I don't have a step by step, but I can tell you it is very basic and can be done in a couple of hours.

Word to the wise label every hose, wire and connector (mind you one great thing Ford did was design all of the above to only mate with one).

Good Luck!

D-Day

I'm sure it's not too hard.

I just don't want to muck anything up.

Unscrew the EGR tube on the driver side

remove the boot to the air filter

unclip the two cables on the throttle body

uncrew the two bolts under the throttle body

unscrew the bolt on the throttle body bracket

move bracket to the side

unclip the electrical conections to the throttle body, and idle air control

unplug vacuum lines on idle air control, upper intake, and egr

Remove belt

If I remember right you Now you will need a 13MM 8 point medium depth socket to remove the supercharger and a swivel. You first have to remove the two screws that hold the bracket on the drivers side off and put it to the side. Then you remove the two screws on the passenger side that hold the intercooler lines, and move them to the side.

Then remove the 8 bolts that hold the supercharger on, thats where you need the deeper socket, because of the studs that hold the 4 nuts I mentioned above.

Once you have the 8 bolts removed lift the supercharger off.

Now take the upper intake off, you can leave the throttle body and the EGR right on the upper intale.

To install just reverse the procedure

You will need a 13mm deep socket for the s/c bolts. A 8mm socket for the upper intake.

Supercharger Removal

Great instructions. I'm looking forward to removing my Supercharger soon. I'm upgrading to a ported Apten Supercharger for better performance and more power.
