Question Dead engine mystery?

Happy Holidays everyone.......

I was driving over to the famous Christmas feast yesterday, stopped at a light I decided I would lay into the throttle - 2 seconds into it, wham dead engine, everything cut off, all the dash indicators light up, speedo and tach dead. I roll into a right hand turn lane, throw her in neutral and turn the key, fires right back up all the gauges reading fine and I am back on the road.

I don't have a clue what happened, wondering if anyone else has experienced this or has an idea of what caused it? Should I be checking something particular out to solve the mystery or is this just a fluke?

How much gas did you have I heard of guys racing with 1/4 tank or less and the trucks falling on there face from starving the fuel pump of gas with it all going to the bad of the tank away from the fuel pickup.

Happy Holidays DAN THE LIGHTNING MAN :santa:

Doesn't the 03's have a known issue of stalling at WOT
when chipped ???

However I believe you already experienced that,
and had a wire cut "or something modified"
to correct that problem when you got the KB Dialed in ???
RIGHT ????

I can def tell you for a fact your not alone for 03's
that stall at WOT, I have read MANY POST about it.
Hopefully someone that knows will pop in and explain.
Or maybe you wanna write Sal of PSP, I know the
Auto Logic Chips were doing it ocassionally
on 03's and he figured it out for the Community.

HAPPY NEW YEAR PAL

Hey Rob, Happy New Year to you, too. I definitely need to meet the hot blonde in your sig, now that's the kinda xmas present I need.

This is the first time this has happened to my L at WOT. The previous stalling was always at idle and that has disappeared, but I am not entirely certain that it was an exact science to fix that problem. We just found the revolutions single file chip worked as apposed to the Delta flip chip.

So in reality I haven't taken a specific step to correct. Good advice with Sal I will get in touch with him next week.

Have a great holiday season!

It's your chip--not the chip connection but in the chip. Take it off and it won't happen. Get the chip reburned to take care of it. Obviously, this is a very dangerous situation..........

It happened to me more than once using an A/L chip.

Dan, I hate to say it, but that is the direction I was leaning, too. My tuner will be in town in two weeks - I want to get her back on the dyno and really run through the entire burn at WOT and typical driving throttle levels.
