JDM 2003 Year End Review...
JDM 2003 Year End Review...
Well, here we are again. Another year has come and gone. There is so much to say I don’t even know where to begin. 2003 has been one of the most successful years since we opened to the public in 1999. First and foremost everyone here at JDM would like to thank every one of our customers for supporting us and letting us grow. Without you we would not be where we are today and again TeamJDM thanks you for that.
JDM has made many accomplishments and improvements in 2003. We added a Dynojet chassis dyno for maximum tuning capabilities. The backbone of JDM is really all about the tuning. It has always been JDM’s top priority to provide the customer with our proprietary tunes you cannot find anywhere else. We are a tuning facility with state of the art top of the line meters, data logging equipment, etc. To date we have tuned the quickest ¼ mile Gen2 Lightning with a full stock motor running an 11.37, thanks Mat Visci (SVT F15O) and the most 10 second daily driven Lightning’s and thanks to pioneers like Don Cobin (Don’s Bolt), Paul Gamino, Bill Jaynes (HDMLNIUM), Kevin White (SKNHD), Pete (promodlightning), Vinnie Telesco, Dave London, Bill Myles, and Steve LePalm. Not only have they been great customers but also they became apart of the family and I am glad to have gotten to know each and every one of them. Of coarse we cannot forget our guys in Texas. John Armstong and Leonard Watson, you have been with us since day one. You two are both a class act. Also, from the Lone Star state Mike Anderson who has the fastest Gen2 on drag radials running in the 11.40’s. The Lightning community is very fortunate to have people like these guys who are the pioneers and guinea pigs so the rest of the community can have a 110% proven product and we owe them all a big thanks. JDM Engineering customers in the 2003 season have 14 national wins and one grand champion of the ten race series Fun Ford Weekend, which is Jodi North. The national wins include Paul Gamino, Charles Crawford, Vinnie Telesco, Don Justice, and Jodi North. At Lightning Fest there were four classes and JDM trucks won three out of the four. Another win for JDM taking first and second place at Mod Motor Shootout by Paul Gamino and runner up Lightning Bob. Stan Martin for his accomplishments in the road racing series on a JDM built motor. While I was tuning Stan’s truck I had it up over a 150 MPH for several miles. I felt very safe in there with his massive roll cage and the fact that it was extremely stable. Big thanks to all JDM champions.
When the 2003 Cobra’s first hit the street everybody was amazed on how much power these things had from the factory. Many people could not believe that you could even squeeze more power out of these monsters and so easily. JDM has once again been the pioneer in tuning for these vehicles. We have produced the first 714 RWHP no NOS Cobra and it’s a daily driver! Rich Juliano (Hammer).
As most of you know we are the Tuff Truck sponsor for the Fun Ford Weekend circuit. In 2003 TeamJDM traveled to over 10 events across the country to meet the Lightning community and help them out. For 2004 we are once again the sponsor and will be traveling to over 12 events this year. Just look for the two big JDM trailers and 20-30 Lightning’s parked all around our pit area. This is the largest Gen2 Lightning race series in the world with over 200 entries last year.
2004 is indeed going to be JDM’s biggest year. To start off 2004 we are introducing the JDM/Magnum Powers supercharger. For half the price of the bigger aftermarket superchargers you can easily attain the 550 RWHP mark. The stock block guys are really going to love these blowers because their power comes on much smoother so you don’t have that added stress on your stock rotating assembly like you do with the other blowers. Also for the start of the new year we will have a fresh new website with all of our products and a more modern look. On top of that we are going to introduce a whole new lineup of products for the Lightning’s and Cobra’s so stay tuned.. Once again thank you for letting us grow to where we are today and we look forward to serving each and every one of you for years to come!

Have a great day eh!............................................Dave.
Jim and crew at JDM,
Thanks for everything this year.
I have had some MAJOR L related accomplishments this year and a lot has to do with being associated with JDM products.
I would never run the FFW series if not for Shaun one day in 2002 saying , go to Virginia and have some fun. You guys welcomed me with open arms then and since.
Now I have a FFW National event win on my Resume.(And to me that is Pretty damn cool)
I have a Daily (drove it yesterday) driven 10 second truck thanks to JDMs commitment to going fast with reliability that I have a Blast with.
and soon the best is yet to come (about 30 days from now).
Thanks again
VINNIE
