Fired off the new built shortblock !!!!!!!!!!

The Lightning is back up and running !!!!!!!!!

For those of you who dont know, I granaded the motor on October 25th. ( 5 broken rods, destroyed 5 pistons, bent 6 valves, and ruined 2 valve guides)

I installed the polished Kenne Bell and upper last night and started it up. The blower still needs al little more polishing to be perfect, but I wanted to be able to drive the Lightning to Chrismas dinner tomorrow!!!

I also want to give Gregg Evans a big , the Total Domination Billet Stall Converter is awesome !!
And thanks to my friend Toby who did the polishing on my stuff

Also thanks to everyone on F150online for the great information and for welcoming me into the "Lightning Family" this past year............Happy Holidays to all!!!!!!!!

Sweet!

So what did you end up running for internals?
And I thoght polishing the blower was bad because of heat intrapment?

That pulley is the 14 psi setup....my 18 psi pulley ( that was pushing 20lbs) is the reason for the new motor !!!

The engine is a VT Competiton Engine Development built shortblock, Manley Rods, filed fit rings, Diamond Racing Pistons, balanced and blueprinted...etc.

There was a big discussion on here recently about polishing, I believe the general consenus was that was not much difference. I dont care one way or the other 'cause it looks awesome !!!
