Goodyear Eagle F1 GS @ Tire Rack

I just ordered some new F1s at the Tire Rack that were clearance priced at $175.00 ea, the other F1s were priced at $191.00 ea.
Has anyone purchased the clearance priced tires and are they different? I asked the salesman about it and he says the tread design is different, and I told him that I thought there was a design change (heavier sidewall) in 01 or 02 and he said I was in incorrect. Anyway I bought the clearance priced tires and I hope all is well.

Cool...............
I feel better about it now.
I guess they did make a sidewall change, and he said I was incorrect. mmmmmmmmmmmmm
Additionally he says there are 23 left - my 2 = 21.

I didn't get the road hazard and I think the total with shipping was about $388.00

Good luck

Do you have to call to get the discounted ones? I need tires bad and would like to get them while they are discounted.

The "clearance" tires are the 01-02 versions. The '03
does have a higher LOAD rating ... The clearance tires are
ok ... I ran 140 mph on them ... several times ... (on Track,
of course!)
