Transmition filter question

I installed a FTVB and a new filter, about 6 weeks ago. Today I am going to put in a different FTVB. My question is can I reuse the semi new one that is in there now or do I have to get a new one. If I remember correctly you don't have to destroy it to get it out, just curious if I can save myself another trip to the parts store.

I would use the same one, 6 weeks hasn't hurt it unless you've put tons of miles on it.

Ford says the fluid and new filter will last up to the 100k mile mark if you changed them at 30-35k as suggested. I change my fluid every 9k miles.. but I dont plan on changing the filter until my OD reads 65-70k

So yeah, you could re-use it without a problem Im sure

That will be fine, just keep it clean while you have it down.
