am i missing anything???

Hey kids,

Well, I am a couple weeks away from putting my new block in...(for those who didn't hear a month back, I threw a rod....) I want to give you guys my new add ons and I need to hear what I am missing and what I should expect as in performance....here goes:
1. JLP built short block (Cp pistons, forged rods etc..)
2.JLP 8lb pulley
3. Airade
4. Cobra r water pump
5. Electric fan
6. Ported (by Aspen) S/C
7. Nitrous Express 100 shot
8. Throttle body
9. JLP tuned delta chip

What's your thoughts? Too much, too little or just right? Expected times??

Cheers,
michael

Michael,

Sounds like a nice setup you will be running. But to answer your question, it is never too much! When my truck gets done it will be:

Built bottom end
Ported heads
Stage 2 or 3 cams
KB which I already have
I have just about every other bolt on
100-150 shot of spray just for purging

But your setup sounds like it will haul some serious azz. When do you plan on getting her up and running again>??? Let us know how she turns out. Best of luck to you. -Mat-

Dont forget to upgrade your fuel pumps and injectors.

You plan on running nitrous and high boost, so these two items would be extra insurance.

I had the chance to hear my local tuners new prototype JLP engine combination and it flat out sounds mean. Totally streetable, but very wicked in my opinion.

Good to see you went with the JLP built engine

An intake is a intake. Your basicly paying for the name. The airaid is a good system. All he has to do (what im doing to my airraid next week) is cut a hole fab up some brackets to connect some tubing to the box and 'ram air' scoop in the lower grill somewhere.

50 bucks for used airraid from local TALON member
probly less than 20 bucks on tubing from home depot, etc equals a Intake thats basicly the same as all the others out there but hella alot cheaper. That and the airraid blocks more hot air from the engine than all the other intakes out there

Thats just my $0.02

That and i believe the airraid is cheaper than JL, not sure never checked the price
