$700 License Plate Frame!! Oooops

At the shop one day last week we decided to stop one of the CNC machines to turn out a couple of Custom Plate Frames to give out as gifts for a few of the employees as Christmas gifts. So we tell one of the engineers what we want and he gets started. We make the original cut then send them off for anodizing then get them back to machine the design/text. So all are made and look great… The only problem is we noticed that in error he pulled a sheet of Aluminum that was meant for an Air craft parts contract we had and the aluminum sheet was a special composite that costs $700. So basically they are going to be sporting $80 Plate frames LOL (And that’s only material cost)

Ooooops, Merry Christmass

Can you make more? In anodized red with a lightning bolt? And SS mounting bolts? With maybe flames and my truck's birthdate in little tiny letters on one corner?

I am actually thinking about starting Lightning products. We do a lot for other high end cars so since I have a Lightning I think its only a natural next step. I will look into doing some high end items right after the new year. Obviously we will not be making the frames frm that grade aluminum But you will never know the difference
