Why is my boost on alot more since I put on a Volant intake??

Why is my boost on alot more since I put on a Volant intake??
Seems like I hit the gas now and the boost is coming on alot earlier then it used to. Im concerned about wearing out my blower alot sooner? Does anyone else have the same problem?

it probably flows a little better than stock, and dont worry about your eaton, your not going to hurt a thing. Mine went from 8 lbs to 10 lbs just by adding a cone filter... the stock gauge is almost worthless though

Eventually you'll be pushing dam near double the factory boost

A good filter will net you a good 2lbs and a great seat of the pants diff
