Angry Kill Them All

So, here I am... I have been working in the 'hood' building a carwash. Thursday I washed the truck and this evening I washed the truck. Tonight I see what looks like someone jumped on the hood. Scratched and gouged the paint all to hell. Cant buff this out.

Man..... Im mad.

So, how much will a hood repaint cost me? Do any custom hoods come pre-painted like my lid did? Get a clear coat that way.

Christ, I cant win

Our hoods are usually around $400 at a quality shop.

Man, I hate to hear stuff like that! BASTARDS!

As far as aftermarket hoods go, I don't know of any that come painted. Most will come primered or gel-coated, and will require prep and paint to more closely match the color of your vehicle. I have the Cervini's 3" cowl induction hood. Their hoods are of a very good quality, and come gel-coated. They offer several different styles. You can find them at www.cervinis.com . Hope this helps, and once again, sorry about your truck.

Later,
Rob

BTW...to view a pic of the 3" Cowl hood on my truck...see my sig...

I've seen a couple of shaker hoods on L's in the Forum. They look pretty cool I can't believe it can be had for only $250 bones. Do you have any pics with the hood up? I'm really curious.

Mark at LFP sells the shaker hood, but the 250 was most likely just paint.

If you didn't live so damn far away I would give you a great deal on the RED stock hood I have sitting in my basement taking up space.

Just turn it into the insurance company. Vandalism is covered under comprehensive and usually has just a very small deductable. Just get the stock aluminum hood, it's the nicest one out there. Then again...... the shaker hoods are sorta cool.
The cowl hoods are teen boy racer wantabe.

I just checked my basement and it is dusty but looks to be in perfect condition.
I would like to check it in the day light though.

I will take it outside tomorrow morning and clean it up if you want .

Opinions are like A-holes...everybody has one.

I can assure you I'm no "boy racer" wannabe. I just wanted a clean, but not too overstated hood that would help set my L apart from the crowd. I, like most of the folks on this board, have a lot of pride (not to mention hard earned $$$) tied up in my L, and it's smart a$$, derrogatory comments like this that are unnecessary. That was a good, informative post, until you shot your mouth off.

I simply posted up to try and help a fella L brotha out, and come back later to read this *****. I generally steer clear of petty BS, and I APOLOGIZE to the rest of you if I sound like a little B!TCH, but that struck a chord.

Anyway(wurk_truk).......Looks like Vinnie may have you hooked up. Glad you were able to get some help from a true L brotha!

Later,
Rob
