Boss F-150
Boss F-150
I was walking to lunch today and saw a Yellow F-150 with a black hood w/ Boss F-150 emblems on the side. I haven't ever seen a truck like it before. Is this a ford production vehicle or someone who has modded a stock truck? If it is a Ford production what does it have under the hood?

Its a Reg Cab Flareside 5.4L F150 with an appearance package and stock engine. They come in yellow and orange with black hoods. I see them about as often as Lightnings around here. A company called LA West makes them. www.lawest.com is the homepage i believe.

I think they sticker for about $50 less than a Lightning with a regular F-150 drivetrain. They may even cost more depending what stage you get.

Damn, your kidding right? $50 less then a Lightning with a regular F150 drivetrain? I guess just collectors would buy them.

Problem there joe?
At the time I got my L, the dealer had a yellow Boss 5.4 on the lot and it was priced to 38K. I have seen people walk up to it and say that its nice but once they see that price they almost run. One guy even made the comment that it should be at least supercharged for that price. This was at the time I bought my L and it had been on the lot for months. And I still think its there now. Sweet looking trucks but to damn pricey for anybody.
BTW, I think it was a Stage 3 model.

My local Kia dealer (yes Kia dealer) had a yellow one up on a display rack outside. Everytime I drove by somebody was looking at it. It wasn't there a week. I am kind of curious now what a used Boss would go for if it's $38k-ish new.
