fuel injector question

Is it normal for our fuel injectors to be increasingly loud when accelerating? I hear a tick that gets louder as I accelerate and is not noticable when sitting at idle. I'm positive it's not the plugs (check them monthly), but it's a sound that's been bugging me for over a year. Should I change them out? If I do this how much am I looking to spend? How difficult a task to do this?

Well, I took it too an exhaust shop and no leaks around the headers or anywhere in the exhaust. It can be heard when I pop the hood, but is louder down by the headers. When I checked the plugs one of the coil packs was wet with some sort of substance (didn't verify what), but I've heard that a bad injector possibly can cause this, hence the sound I'm hearing?
