This probably isn't going to help much but I had Comp custom grind a set of cams based on the 274 lobe. So my cams are 274/274 on a 113 L/C. I am running these cams with a solid lifter lashed at .003 intake and .004 exhaust so the actual duration is less.

Problem is I just got the motor in the truck and haven't got it running yet, other wise I could offer some input. Soon.....very soon .

I have the XE279AH in my truck and love them......I will have some audio clips in the next few weeks. Also have a truck that will have the cams you are refering to completed shortly. Hold tight for another week and I will have more info.

tommylightning,

What vacuum do you have at idle in gear? What is your idle rpm?

About 10vac. I do not have a problem with the brakes. The idle is a little higher than stock. PM me for more info.
