Need Advice quick!

Long story short. Blown plug. Is helicoil safe and is $600 a good price? Anyone know of shops in DC that do this repair?

I put a heli coil in mine this past summer when I launched a plug and havent had any problems yet with it....at the time I didnt know about the other option mentioned above but so far so good with mine. BUT I had a heli coil put in and ALL my plugs changed to the iridiums while they were working on it and it only cost me like $350 and I got it back the next day. Maybe I got a really good deal or something but $600 sounds a little steep to me. Hope this helps.

Just in case there is a mis understanding, I didnt get all 8 plugs heli coiled. Just the one that blew, I just had them change all the plugs while they were in there.....definately wasnt 8 heli coils for $350. Sorry if that was misleading.
