washed the '04 yesterday and I can easily fit my hand between the cab/bed on one side but not possible on the other. My previous '01 I could do this on both. I also noticed thatin the gap between the bumper & bed it is a thinner gap on one side vs the other.

How hard is it to loosen the bed and what am I looking for?

tried doing search a few times, no worky.
searched on nloc and found some helpful old posts.

Looks like I need a Torx 50 and loosen the 6 bolts in the bed in order to move it around.

my 02 had the same problem, the bed was misaligned. I took it to the dealer and they thought they had fixed it... but when they lined up the bed they found out the bed & the cab where both off center from the frame. I had to bring it back in and they re-aligned it. It's not perfect but better than before.. the tech said it was "to ford spec"
