Question Question for you Southern boys and girls.

Do your tracks close at all>??? How far up North do the track stay open year round>??? Reason I ask is, I want to take a vacation in a few weeks and drive the Lightning where ever I go. So it would be nice to do some racing while I am away. Maybe I could meet up some people depending on where I go and we can all get together. Florida would be nice. Then I can scope the scene and hopefully move there soon. So my Lightning Brothers and Sisters, tell me where to go. My truck needs some action. -Mat-

Im pretty shure most of the tracks are still open but i will let KBZILLA answer that one. If you wanna come hang out your welcome in alabama anytime we got lots of L's here and I got a 5 bedroom house with plenty of room and a 4 car garage so you could park inside. Hope you enjoy your trip to the south and hope i can meet you and help you in any way.

I hear ya there! When I had my truck out yesterday I was in a Heaven. Parked it and took the Cobra out and I was in Heaven again, I think Heaven was a little faster the second time around though. These trucks are great. The Cobra is an amazing automobile too. It is all about personal preference and I am lucky to own both right now. -Mat-

The track close to the New Orleans area doesnt close. www.noproblemraceway.com The track is usually prepped very well and is only like 2 years old. And after you run the truck you can go party in New Orleans.

Edit: Well I just realized thta it is closed til lthe end of this month....but it will reopen in January and the temps should be around the 40s, and the track is not usually crowded, you can get like 15 runs in if you hot lapped it all night....that is if ya wanted to do that.

Dude I'm only 18.....I'll show you where everyone here hangs out other than the Frnech Quarter and the stuff you see on TV. Plus we got a pretty good amount of Lightning owners down here that I could call up.

I know the track by my hometown closed a few weekends ago, and Houston Raceway Park should be closing any time now for a few weeks

My main track in Joilet Rt66 closes for the season. I am looking forward to making it out there a few weeks after they open in April in early 04. US41 in Indiana is open pretty much year round (weather permitting). I have yet to go to a Street Car Chaos. I would love to go in the spring. How does that work?

Shane,

Would you mind sending me a buzz when you hit Joliet this year?

I just bought my (long overdue) first car 2 weeks ago, a new Black Lightning. This X-mas will be the first basic mods, but I'd love to see what someone who knows what they're doing has done to their L before I tear mine apart.

You're out in Plainfield? I'm from Homer Township. See you around?
