Everyone,

I decided for Christmas that I would treat my Lightning to a few upgrades. Well, ok, a big upgrade. I picked up my Lightning on Saturday with a JDM shortblock, mildly ported heads, stage 2 JDM cams and some more boost. Heres a teaser:



I am scheduled to get a Magnum Powers installed when avail, but Jim @ JDM hooked me up with more boost via this for the time being:




I plan on just taking it easy, and getting some miles on it before I really get on it. But let me say that the cam'med feeling and sound is awesome. Cruising down 95 last night felt just like stock.

A big thanks goes out to everyone at JDM for their support and time during my project. A special thanks goes out to Jim for "lending" me more boost until the MP arrives.

Thanks for the comments. Its really a cross between X-Mas and next years mod $$ this year. To be honest, I wanted to go a little quicker, but I didn't want to push the stock block too far, so I was being proactive. IMHO, its better to err on the conservative side. With that being said, I did run 11.89 stock block, with the Eaton and a 4+1.5# pulley.

I'm not really sure of my end goal, but this mod will open up any possibility. To be quite honest, not sure if I would keep the KB or not. Im not really interested in having a "Race Only" truck and Bettina is not very receptive to a roll cage being installed. I also gotta seek out a new set of slicks for the new power.

To be honest, I was thinking MP with a 75 shot, but we will see what we decide. The wife says she really likes the shiney pulley installed on the KB.

DL, when are you going to be in town again??? LOL, theres no on/in my truck...LMAO....

Damon, after this, there may be no more Christmas for me for a while either. I think I owe the wife a few years of honey-dos..LOL.

I'll be in the area at my Bro's house probably Dec. 22 through Dec. 28 for the X-mas holidays. Won't have the truck with me probably I got a few parts in different places and am also waiting on some new parts to be installed and I don't think they will arrive in time for me to put my truck back together for the trip. It's going to be close.. You know I'll spend a lot of my time up there at Excessive Motorsports East with Chris and Torre...lol
