Wide Band Commander by DynoJet

The kit is going to be out early next year. It says it will cost 529 with an A/F gauge.
A tad more expensive than the few other low cost alternatives. I think I like this kit a little better. It has something to do with the simplicity of it, and also the name behind it.
What are your thoughts?

I think its just personal prefrence, I like the looks of the sweep gauge. I also like the fact that it's built for a permanant install. Since it is dynojet, they may have something to acquire the data and integrate into the "WinPeP" software for data logging while you are on a dyno.
I think with this unit you can also get exact number (like a digital gauge) when you download it to a computer. I guess I will have to wait until they provide more information on the unit. So far I like what I see.

I picked up an Innovate LM-1 for $320. It has a digital read out and you can get an additional analog gauge for like $70.
It also has an output function which you can program to send a standard O2 signal to the ECM or an AFR proportional voltage signal to the dyno while running.
You gotta love the times we live in (at least when it comes to autos).

I wanna see all my options......
I emailed the guys at dynojet. Here is their reply.
Mike,
at this point, the gauge output is for the Autometer 2 1/16" 270 degree sweep gauge. We don't have a digital "in car" option yet, but obviously the software displays a digital reading. There is a programmable output, either 0-5v or 0-5mA, so this could be configured to drive a digital gauge if you so desired.
We will have a "dyno connectivity kit" available for dyno owners to purchase that will allow them to display the WBC data in their WinPEP dyno control s/w.
Best Regards
I have looked at the LM-1, and I didn't like the handheld unit. I thought I read somewhere that they were coming out with a unit that you could mount in the car, and have a seperate LED. The price is great on the LM-1, and should be the clear choice. I just wanted to look at all the options.

The following is just my opinion. The LM-1 can be used to run a perminantly mounted A/F display of your choice. With any wideband you'll need some sort of Data Interface device. The LM-1 is that combined in a hand held box with display. My LM-1 sits in the glove box with perminate "switched" power to it. Some guys set theirs under a seat. When I choose to LOG my A/F, RPM, and any other 4 parameters that give a voltage output(as of this time I haven't an idea of what else to record) , I simply pull out the LM-1 and place it on the center counsel of the Cobra. Off I go and hit record. Once I'm finished I bring it in and download the data to my laptop.
Sooner then later the LM-1 will be powering a Norksdog Digital A/F display in a steering column pod which will be a true wideband display. Easier to read then the LM-1 display while closed in the glove box.
I'm not fimilar with this other wideband coming out. Can it record data? How about other stuff besides A/F? Sounds like a good alternative.
Good Luck. Any questions about my set up I'd be happy to share what I've learned.

Here was his reply to my question about having it in Lunar style:
Yes, we do plan on offering other styles of Autometer gauges in the future. To begin with, we have chosen the Autometer Sport Comp and Phantom series. I know exactly what you mean, as I have a 2002 Lightning with the "greenish luminescent" gauges. I used the Phantom with a green bulb cover, and though it was very close, I used a blue "Sharpie" marker to slightly color the bulb cover to better match the factory look.
