LFP headers?

I was looking at getting a set of LFP longtubes. Is it possible just to install headers to the stock cat pipes? i know the pipes will have to get cut back some, but you dont have to change them do you?

Re: LFP headers?

01svtL I've got a few pics of LFP's headers if you wanna take a look at em'. I talked with Mark about them a few times. I guess his are Tri-Y collector (3 to 1) vs 4 to 1. He said his headers and cat combo would help out a lot. More info on Tri-Y collector High Flow cats are only like $250, personally if I did long tubes, it would be to get the high flow cats too.

Bassani sells high flow cats and mid pipes the work with the stock manifolds and cat-back. Not worth the money. Spend a little more and get the L/T's and high flows. I think the Bassani high flows are $500-$600 range.

You'll have to rip out the old cats, get a mandrel 90 degree (or 45 degree) bend, and have them custom welded in place.

It'd be real nice to have high flow cats and long tubes, I just don't have the cash for em now. I've heard a few trucks with long tubes, and they sound amazing!
