i simply asked if any one else has any issues with these tunes... i dont need a dyno to tell me that I have AUDIBLE detonation.... in fact why would you dyno anything that is pinging?

no more a waste of bandwidth that the avarage "what do you do for a living" poll around here

thanks for your concern though

Quit wearing your wittle feelwings on your shoulder and learn something.

Nobody said YOU where wasting anything. Learn to read. My point is that posting an A/F with no Timing or vice versa is pointless. You need BOTH to know if your about to spit a rod or melt a plug.

2nd pull with Performance tune 369hp/438tq 12.7af avg inc 10.1hp/11.6tq over stock. The data log sowed 19 deg timing

3rd pull with Pulley tune 369hp/441tq 12.3af avg inc 13.2hp/15.1tq over stock. The data log showed 25 deg timing?

I think I need to get a custom tune and make changes on the dyno. I did not make any changes in the programs on run 2 and 3. All runs were with 100 octane.

There was a 2003 Lightning there and it was totally stock. It put down 350/420

Holy Josepe,

25 degrees with 12.3 seems harsh. What total boost are you running?

Cripes, I am a bit afraid to hit my 15 lbs with that in the cold weather. Do you know if the Predator is locking the computer from cold air advance? Meaning, I have been told that there is a way of keeping our computers from advancing the 3 degrees due to cold air.

Thanks,

Rocks

I haven't found a way to get an A/F off the predator yet either.
It would be nice though.

I plan to just hit the dyno with it and get an A/F there to go with the timing readings.

You can't get an accurate A/F with the stock O2. The Predator gives you O2 voltages, but they're worthless for tuning as they are not to be trusted. Get a wide band on there to know where you are.

03LightninRocks,

When do you plan to go to the dyno. I have a preditor and would like to get it dynoed to see the AFR#'s as well. Is TALON planning a dyno day any time soon? I went to the last TALON dyno in Plano this past summer. I stoped by the speed shop that we went to last summer and it is $60 for 3 pulls and AFR. I cant remember what the name of the place is but it is off of HWY 75 and 15th st in Plano. I may just go by myself next week end. I want to use the Preditor but I want to know it is safe first.

I was showing 14lbs with a aftermarket gauge.

I am in Arizona and it dont get cold here.

It was with 100 octane.

You may want to check on the Talon sight. I think I remember someone posting they had trouble there.

Andrew swears by the kwick car in Richardson, because they are cheap. 40 bucks 3 pulls with A/F. Only catch is, they do the pulls in between oil changes, so you could be there for a couple hours for 3 pulls.

That gives me time for a cool down, LOL.
I dont see how it could be profitable to pull a truck off the dyno for a oil change!

The dyno is at an oil change place - if people come in looking for oil changes your dyno waits.....

it takes HOURS and HOURS ... rediculous really ......
