Need help fast!!!
A buddy of mines just had his fuel filter and plugs changed...Gapped his ford motorcraft plugs at .044 and they are tight...The tech told him that when he started the truck it's idling strange.. It has a lopey cam idle and has a rotten egg smell coming out of his exhaust..He also says the truck is shacking bad..Can anyone offer us some help please??..
Thanks..Lay
He has an 02 with 38,000 miles
only mods are a diablo chip, JL air box and boost bypass w/ JL ram air

Sounds like maybe one of the coil packs didn't get put on properly. I would start there. Also look to see if a vacuum line got disconnected, but this will usually throw a code. Good luck.

I agree with the earlier post. It could be a faulty or loosely connected coil pack. I believe the plug gap is way to large. I think the plug gap should be 0.40 to 0.42 Max for stock. Just my 2 cents.

OK i'm sorry he gaped .056 and the vaccuum lines and coil packs are on tight.... Isn't that too high?? He told me his mechanic said that this is ford specs (gapped at .056)??? Doesn't sound right to me..This sounds rediculous... my TR6s are gapped at .044
