Rear End Leak

Rear End Leak

I was under my truck today cleaning. I noticed before i cleaned the rear end that there was oil on it not been any on the floor and there wasnt any loose oil on the rear end jsut a stain. It is only on the drivers side but it is on the front side and back top and bottom. Do you guys think i have a problem?

My truck looks exactly the same. I THINK the manufacturing process for putting those tubes into the center section is that they press them in, but it's not too tight of a press fit, and then they press those rivets/pins in place to lock it in. Probably no o-rings or anything fancy like that so it just seeps a bit. I don't worry about it.

mine has seeped or leaked on the pass side for a long time ... never has left a drop or puddle on the ground....

At least the pinion seal doesnt leak my my f350. I bet the pinion itslef wont last to long with 3 round in my metco uppers like i have them.

As I recall it was the geniuses in Miami that were convinced that the condition of my rear was due to the way it was being jacked....

If they looked at the whole picture they would have seen that it was actually supported by jack stands, and the jack was only supporting the pumkin to make shock replacement easier.

I posted a thread exactly like this one about 2 weeks ago. Didn't get any good answers like I see here but my truck is an 03 L and it's doin the same thing on the right side of the cover.....no leaks, just that same stain i see in your pics.
