L vs. TRD

Has anyone seen these Toyota Tundra's with the TRD supercharger run? A guy here at work swears by them and is always talking **** that when he gets his trcuk done after the first of the year that it will smoke any L. The only thing he is doing is putting on the supercharger from Toyota.

I would imagine that they are going to push, what 6-8 or 9 lbs. maybe? The truck is an '03 Tundra T3. (terminator edition

)

I have researched to come up with these trucks rated around 240 hp stock. I cant seem to find anyone on the yota forums with the TRD charger.

Anyone know anything bout this!?!?!?!?

BTW- its the 4.7L V8

you dont have to worry about anything, there is actually a lot of supercharged TRD's and they are not anything that the L cant beat

LMAO
I didnt think there was to much to worry about but thought I would check before I said much back to him. Im not one to talk I jsut tell him to get his done and we will see.

The guy at the dealer just confirmed that stock pulleys they will push 6 lbs. For some reason they think that will add 150 h.p. I dont see that possible with 6 lbs.
I thought as a general rule you could say about 10h.p. for every pound, true?

I want to see a Kenn Bell powered Nissan Titan. I am very impressed they made a small block V8. Bout friggin time. When everyone is going smaller and more efficient they are going bigger and more efficient.

I dont think its even possible to "fear" something with TuRD written on the side of it... the name just says it all

The words Japanese, and trucks just dont go together in my book

Make sure to get him yaking on video. And then get the run on video as well. That way the embarassment will last and last. (Oh... and I'll be able to add it to my collection)

I agree with you but let's see if we're still saying this in 10 years. Everyone made fun of foreign cars when they first hit our soil. Nissan just rolled out with a bad a$$ truck. It's only a matter of time until the rest follow.

I think that's a bit of a stretch. I'll give you this, that truck is BAD looking. As in like dog dung bad.

I'm still laughing at "L vs TuRD"

the TURD Tacoma ran a 14.69@93.96mph in the 1/4. I don't know what the Tundra will run but I'd bet on a 2nd GenL everytime against Toyota trucks. The Tacoma TURD makes 251rwhp and 275rwtq.....thats with their SC.

I ran my stock 99 against a 4x4 access cab and there was no competition-- the tundra does have a surprising jump and kinda runs even for the first 20 feet but thats it. We ran several times and I got to even drive it--- it loses power badly after 60 because of the gearing and smaller blower....
