3" coils on hitting bump stops

i put on the 3/4 bellteck kit today and the back of the truck is way lower and think it is because of the front bump stops and the kit dident come with and new ones do you know where i could find some or what should i do like cut the factory ones?

i cut my stock ones, but you can buy new ones if you want, i don't know where they sell them though

Just cut the stockers, about 1/3 i think

Yes cut the stockers or look in the phone book for a custom shop that lowers cars/trucks.

With any drop kit you are supposed to cut the bump stops. unless they provide new ones.

I could not handle the bottoming out over Pot Holes and Speed bumps in the rear with the Bell Tech 3/4 kit so I added the Western Chassis C-section kit now I have no bottoming out what so ever! The Bell Tech 3/4 kit did not come with Front Bump Stops only rear Bump Stops. The front only came with the Coils, I recall. Yes the Bell Tech 3/4 Kit your Lightning will look lower in the rear like you are carrying a load. Unless you move the shackle up one notch you might not have that much bottoming out in the rear.

For the rear bump stops, if you do a search I believe 2" of travel is what is recommended.

For the fronts, I cut as much as I could, but ended up using the ones that came with Hotchkis front springs.
