If you don't mind bringing the truck to NY, and you don't mind paying good money for a top notch job, we could do the total install for you. And since you have a HD, we should be able to keep the rear bars inside the cab and not need to go out the back window. Contact us if interested.

do your self a favor and do chromemoly and contrary to popular belief swingout bars are not legal for nhra santioned races. they do tend to overlook it since most have only gone in the 11's. swing outs are for show. everyone is shooting for a nine second truck but i have yet to see anyone do the proper rollcage(atleast a 10 point for 9.99 and quicker) and all the other supporting SFI safety requirements.

from what i was told nhra is looking to change there rules to only allow chromemoly. that might be for say 9.99 or faster but if you do the 6 pt. right the 1st time then you could always add to it if needed instead of a completly new cage.

I went with chromoly for the additional couple hundred bucks. It will save some weight also.

So all the folks who are installing the cages with swing outs are illegal ? I HAVE to beleive that the designers and installers of these cages have checked the rules books.....

Swing out SIDE bars are permitted on full bodied cars, 7.50 and slower. Of course they have to be made to NMRA swingout specs as stated in section 4:10 in the rulebook.
