More on the SRT-10

Sport Truck gave it "Sport truck of the year"

0-60: 5.37 sec
1/4: 13.12@ 108.29

Truckin also had it in the "Truck of the year" (but an F150 won)

0-60: 5.66
1/4: 14.08@ 101.64

So will it be a 13sec. or a 14sec. truck

I changed BOTH tires.

I saw the 40 deg. temp and the 12 mph wind, didn't feel like driving 1.5-2 hour one way to freeze my butt off .

It went in on Monday for:

custom marker lens water bottle
rain-customized foglight lenses
absent clunk washer
colander-quality oil pan

Picked it up Friday...
Fog lights and marker lens replaced
Oil leak fixed (pan gasket)
Ford does not currently have clunk fix - considered normal (since their last two fixes don't work :-)
They also "found" a CD-magazine that the "previous owner must have left under the seat". He he he (Email me - olefafl@aol.com)

You should have sent me an email about the Dyno in Noblesville.

As always it seems to depend on the YAHOO behind the wheel
Guess we won't really know until they're out.

Well, I have to say, the SRT does not have me or my Gen 2 shaking! I would bet my left nut that dodge has given the mags a few ringers to test with. I'd like to see the mags do a RWHP test and see what the "M" plates are puting down and compare those numbers with what the owners get from production!

For 45K that truck should be in the mid 12's. Some here have run 13.2's in stock L's. He!!, mine ran 13.53 all stock on a chitty track and no prep with 2.1 60ft. I can't wait to see what the average owner pulls off.

"You can't polish a turd, You can stick a viper sticker on a turd"

If the dudge boys think they have us all quiet and shaking in our boots. Think again!!

I for one will be waiting to put a beating on one. Come spring at the track or run into one in the early week of the Woodward Dream Cruise!!

Bring it Dudge boyz!! Lightning just struck a HEMI truck owner, who was given the false impression that his truck was fast!! He found out different and drove away mad... Must be those missleading HEMI comercials...

Hey Thor01
I agree most of us are far from shakin, but if they can get mid to low 13s they have enough time to read my plate and know they got dusted by a WRK TRK LOL!

D Davis,

I agree with you there..lol At least we can use our truck like a truck. I'm out of Livonia. I know there will be a few of those SRT RAMS down at Woodward Dream Cruise, in the early week when everyone is racing and can actually drive without it being too congested. I doubt, I'll ever get the chance to race one at the track with such a limited production.

I bet there will be one or two at the Detroit Autorama. They had a few Custom Lightnings last year that looked pretty sweet, so I expect someone to have a SRT RAM also. Then maybe I can pick a race with the guy in a nice way!

I had a guy talking big chit about how the srt can pull more than a L. I asked what the tow rating was and he didn't know. I read that there isn't a specified tow rating. Wrong or right? If there is no tow rating, then it is not meant to tow anything right? They are way overrated and ugly as sin to boot.

He also said it is capable of 12.5 with an ok driver. He went on to say how well it would run with a supercharger. I made the comment about how Ford had the ballz to make a truck with a FACTORY s/c and give it a warrantee. He keeps talking the dudge is better than Ford no matter what game.

Loser.

Dodge SRT 10

I guess we can call the SRT 10 a 13 second 1/4 mile truck. This all depends on the driver. Just my opinion.

i found some info on that "AWESOME" new Lightning killer truck, code-named the SRT-10. it's supposed to be the same price as a Lightning, and go twice as fast, or something
