Problem at the track last night

Last night at the track when I shifted into second there was a substantial loss of power almost felt like it was going to shut down. It did the same thing on my second run with an almost identical time of 14.67. My third and forth runs were 13.50 and 15.53 with no noticeable slowing in second.
I figured the problem had gone away until my fifth run after a 1.5 hour wait it did the same thing again with a time of 14.66.

Has this happend to anyone else or does anyone have any ideas of what may have cause this? Any comments would be helpful.

Thanks,

Jim

Hi Warren or Jim ???
WELCOME AND CONGRATS

Is it Brand New ???

Hope you don't have a clogged fuel filter, it's extremly dangerous.
Either it's that,
or it dumped boost
or you felt the torque reduction

Boost dump is when it dumps boost to relieve stress on the motor.

Torque reduction happens between the 1 2 shift, 4 cyls cut out for a mega second to relieve stress but this time on the tranny.

BUT even with all the factory safety B/S, you still should be running 13's.

There is also a rev limiter/fuel cut off @ 5250 I think it is

each one of those safety devices were done away with "or modified" when mine was a few weeks old

Here's what you unplug next time you race

If your truck is not brand new, or has more than 3k on it,
CHANGE YOUR FUEL FILTER
