Thumbs down How was your commute today??

Snow + cold temps + icey roads + NO SNOW PLOWS OR SALTING = 3 1/2 hrs. to go 19 miles.

What a joke. The DOT commissioner needs to be strung up by his sack and dangled from the Pulaski Skyway!! Loser!!

Really..I'm not mad.

Got up to leave at 5:30AM, lazy gov't employees set weather voicemail late, waited til 6:30AM to figure out we had to go in. Then 40min commute turned into 2.5 hours, which included a Ford Explorer breaking down directly in front of us on I-95, and no one would let us around to pass him. Luckily, not my week to drive Coworker drove in his Tundra TRD-offroad.

Not too bad, at least. Last time it was this long was when a oil tanker blew and closed down I-95N in the afternoon rush hour.

TG I took the Jeep to work
Snowing like crazy and another 8-12" still expected.
Like you said Dan, not a got dam plow or sander to be found,
I was going off about that all day (@&^$#(@&$#@(&#&@#

Here's what it looked like a few hours back

As for the Jeep Cherokee,
I was extremly happy with the traction in 4WD,
after driving the L all last Winter (AKA WINTER FROM HELL)
It was the difference of night and day. Of course rule number
one in ANY 4WD is
THEY STILL DON'T STOP OR TURN

Oklahoma no snow, just good old pure cold dense air!

BUT, 2" of snow will put us in dire emergency.
