Question Auto window switch mod

Well I have an idea. What if I went to Ford and bought two more Auto down buttons for our windows, and installed one next to the driver side window button and of course put the other on the passenger side. So when I (or a passenger) want to roll down the passenger window, they now have the auto down feature. Would this work? Is the auto down feature in the actual switch, or is it something electrical somewhere else? My buddy has a 2003 z71 and its passenger winow has an auto down.... thought it would be a cool little mod to have. Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance

The auto down feature is not on the switch itself, it's actually part of the "magic black box" of electronics that controls the window motors. One quick and easy way to add auto down to your windows is to get a car alarm made by Directed Electronics (Viper. Python, Clifford, etc.), and have the 530T window module installed. Your windows roll up every time you arm the alarm, and you can hit a button on the remote to vent your windows or roll them down from outside the truck. This also gives one-touch down capability to both of your windows. I am looking into a way to add a 530T to the factory keyless entry system; I know I can add remote start, but I am still checking out the window module. I will let you know what I find out.

The 530T allows one touch down and UP. I love mine!
