that just happened to me, Called my internet provider and they couldnt ping me.

Had me unplug the cable modem and plug it back in, it somehow worked!!

But most of these Worms, Viruses, and Bugs now attack your restore folders first, so usually it don't work when that happens.

Hey guys, get this message to gator... tell him to restart his computer and run it in "Safe mode" he might be able to get online the. If he is able to tell him to go to www.symantec.com and download their virus protection... it is by far the best protection out there, that is not an opinionated statement. He will be able to scan for viruses, quaratine them, then he can go back to the symantec site and download the patches to fix the problems..... this is all assuming he is able to connect in safe mode.... btw the restore might not work unless he backed-up his computer up at an earlier date...

He downloaded a program known as "Anitiy Gost Busters"
from Download.com, and wam it took his modem out of the
picture. He already did a full restore and he's up and running.

Of course he did loose all his Lesbo Vid's though

To everybody else, the modem was reset, the restore disc was used to take the hard drive to a point before GhostBusters was downloaded. Nothing helped........so I just bite the bullet and erased everything and started over. Iam ready to buy a new computer anyway, got a great connection on some Dell's that are "lost freight" hehe
