Unhappy truck just died!

i got in my truck to go to work today...pulled out of the driveway went down the street came to a stop sign and the truck just sputtered to a dead stop and cut out! i put in nuetral and tried cranking it again...it just turned over but didnt start..i let it sit for 5 min. and cranked it again it was shaking really bad and wanting to stall...almost like i had a huge cam in it! after driveing safley around the nieghborhood for about 10 min.. it went back to normal driveing....i have been driveing around with a chip burned for 10psi...im currently running 14psi...so its not tuned yet...last week it was sputtering really bad under acceleration...now its cutting out on me.....any suggestions???

Pull the chip, do not run in boost (that is very important, you will be too lean with any boost) and see if you have the same problems while driving.

Do you have a flip chip? The reason I ask is - I had to move to a single profile chip to stop the stalling challenge I had with my '03 -can't really explain the why's, but with the single file the stalling stopped.

It is just a matter of eliminating the possible challenges.

Good Luck!

Check chip connection to make sure its secure to the computer..If not that, mines did this about a few weeks ago...I did these things before it happened so one of them had to have caused it..I cleaned my Air filter and left my hood, washed my truck at the same time and then on the way to work filled the tank up with premium.. 1. either I got too much oil on the filter that got on my MAF wires 2. Somehow I got water on my engine that go on some coil packs 3. I got some bad gas on the way to work..

Mines did the exact same thing but on the HWY.. It sputtered and putted really bad and when I got off an exit it acted if it wanted to cut off.. It was shaking really bad also and loped like it had a cam.. As I tried to make it to work it cleared up on the way to work.. If not any of these check your chip connection..

its a 2000...i know someone mentioned one of the lines on the fuel pump comming off..i dont know if that is it though...becuase when i bough my truck it had a 2lb upper pulley already on it...along with a diablo chip....after about 6 months of owning my truck i installed a 4lb lower pulley...and i didnt get the diablo single sided chip reburned...it ran just fine for about 2 weeks...altough it did throw an engine code... i decided to take it to the track and ever since then it started sputtering and poping after i make more than 10 psi....either to much fuel or not enough...because it idels fine and it has smooth acceleration..until i push boost....so i think driveing around like that may have made things worse....

I tired pulling the chip once...and as soon as i made like 5psi it sputtered even worse.. so i put the chip back in...when i ease into the trottle i can make all 14lb's....its when i do i kick down or press the gas too fast..is when it pops and sputters...

Change the fuel filter and spend $40 bucks to send you chip to JLP and get it tuned to your mods.

yeah you kinda all over the place here, first it was just dying at stops but if your having problems at WOT as well it sounds like you have a major tuning issue. Not to mention the CE light, your probably wayy to rich but its hard to tell. I wouldn't drive much tho.

oh duh, i read that wrong, i thought he went from a 4 lber to a 2 lber, he went from a 2lber to a 6lber(total). Yeah your lean, although i didn't think lean caused gurgle at WOT, but who knows what the hell is going on. I also don't believe this is the cause of one thing, i think you have a couple problems, it's just finding out whats causing what. It's almost a vacuum leak + leaning out from something else, be it tune or fuel.

Either way, he has big freaking ***** to be running wot with the wrong chip in the cold weather.

If it's not the fuel line to pump clamp loose, I think you have a spark plug problem. You have 'fried' one or more plugs........ ......IMO.
