Razors Edge in the 10's

As many of you know our first outing at lightning fest was a wash for us as the truck destroyed the converter on the first pass. Since then we have done some R&D and gotten that solved.
Last night we finally made it out to Moroso and first pass off the trailer was a 10.76 at 128.33 mph wih a 1.55 60ft. This was done with standard REM built shortblock,Ported heads w\1mm over valves and Comp\Rem cams topped off with a works 140 SC running a 2lb lower pulley. The weather was 76 degrees with very high humidity as it was raining in all the surrounding areas.
All things considered and being the first "healthy" pass we are very pleased with the results. Look for us to start stepping up the power and hopefully the numbers will come down.
We know this has been a long time coming and appreciate all of you who have helped and been patient with us as we jointly built a race truck and run our business
Paul

Paul or Tim,

Outside of the standard motor mods and the Works 140 what else have you guys done to the motor...bored, stroker kit, etc? Any idea what kind of power you're putting out with the 2 lb. lower on? Also, any weight savings tricks (tubular front end, gutted interior, etc.) and any funny suspension tricks (4-links, etc.)?

Just trying to get an apples-to-apples comparison to what some of the other tuners have run...

Thanks,

Dan

Thank you to everyone for the positive responses. Dan the motor is a .020 over standard stroke motor using JE pistons and manley H beam rods,it really is our "off the shelf" shortblock. Our feeling is that the cam profile we designed along with Comp.cams are really proving themselves. As for the front end it is bone stock with the exception of bogart wheels. The rear end however is a 4 link setup.
We also have to mention as many of you know we have been using the new Diablosport Revolution software for a while now (the latest version being recieved last week) and feel it has been a key to us being able to make this happen. We literally did all of our tuning on our Mustang Eddy current Dyne with a 5 gas analyzer and data acquisition, put it on the trailer and went to the track.
