I found that pic and fell in love. Has anyone seen anything like that before? I think it's awesome!

I was thinking the same thing... I'm not sure what other people in the house would think about that.

The wine bottles in the cylinders is a nice touch yet it would leave one hell of a mark if you caught the corner it with your foot. OUCH!!

My hubby keeps trying to talk me into using his old slicks as a coffee table like that. the problem isn't that about fitting the decor (cuz actually they would, we have a whole wall with shots of his truck at races) its that we don't have the room. once the first kid came the coffee table moved into the basement so she could have room to play. Now with another coming I know there is no room for it.

I've always wanted to do something like that. I just haven't gotten around to getting glass. I have some f1's laying around. My friend actually has it done with some big hoosier slicks. (kinda like the pic above) But 2 of them stacked on top of each other then a piece of glass fitted on top of the tire. It looks really cool.

im making mine already

you can pick up blocks in your area for really cheap if you look. I'm just trying to figure out how to get it cleaned up. Someone mentioned bead blasting at local shops was a cheap method but i haven't looked yet. But anyway, everyones got an old block in their backyard theyve been looking to give away, just look around.

My wife want me to put the block in the house, but I think its way too heavy to be in the living room.
I plan on putting some small casters on the bottom of mine and putting it in my shop as a conversation piece

I still need someone to donate a factory piston and rod assembly to me, I destroyed all but 3.

Wouldn't it look even cooler with the lower intake and supercharger on top of the block? (if we used our block)

I have a pile of hoosier slicks at my race car shop if anyone wants some for a table. I give them to anyone who wants them so we dont have to haul them off.
