I've been running a 5 lb pulley for about 40,000 miles. My 01 L has 60,000 trouble-free miles on it

4lber=IT 20 or 22's

5lber=IT 24's(or NGK BR7EF's which I use)

Since you said you don't want to hurt anything I say stick a 2 pound lower on it along with a predator and a factory tech valve body. It won't be very fast, but you shouldn't have to worry much about it.
