How to remove "Lightning" badges?

My Lightning badges had been "acetoned" or whatever it is that removes the black from them. I've decided to change the look of the truck a bit and I think it will look better with the "factory" look showing the black. What I plan to do is remove the ones that are on there and buy some factory new badges again. What does it take to remove them without any issues??

if you're talking about the side badges (or the rear badges) from what i understand, you can use a heat gun to heat the adhesive and then use fishing string to peel them away. Then use goo gone or some other citris-based cleaner to remove the rest....bug and tar remover works also. I'm not sure if that's the whole process or not, or if there's a better way, but that's what people i know have done for the cleaned look on their cars.....
