if you're spraying, then you want to have fuel pressure, as well as the nitrous gauge. I don't think trans temp is really necessary unless you do a lot of long distance road races (not 1/4 mile races). I'd do a boost gauge, EGT, and fuel pressure, then a nitrous gauge on the steering column.....just my .02

Fuel pressure is very important in a supercharged auto. In our case with the 2 pumps it is even more important. Adding nitrous makes this gauge needed.

In our truck we will be installing Boost (steering column), Nitrous (top pillar), Fuel (middle pillar) and EGT (bottom pillar). I am putting them in this order because the nitrous gauge you need to look at the least. The boost is fun to look at and the Fuel and EGT are right there to see. Any questions, ask away.

I am also looking at getting gauges here soon. I am not running nitrous, nor do i plan to any time soon. My mods are 2# upper and 4# lower, so i plan on the boost gauge, just cause. My other mods are intake kit, might be getting a single blade tb, and i have custom magnaflow cat back and will be purchasing high flows or bassani's cat pipes so i assume it would be good to get the egt right? what other one should i get? or should i get another one to replace one of the ones i said?

this is my idea for the 3 pillar gauges:
boost (you got it, flaunt it)
trans temp
water temp (in return from intercooler, maybe 2 sending units and a switch to see both sides of the system)

OR
boost
fuel pressure
water temp (regular use)

where is a good place to get the pillar and guages?

Chris

Not to steal your thread EastcoastEnt(You a LOTR fan BTW?), but I have one quick question while were on the subject of guages. Are the new C2 Autometer gauges worth the much higher cost? There almost $100 more than the Lunar Series gauges. Also, what do they look like at night when lite up?

What would be the main difference in getting a EGT or water temp gauge? They both tell you how hot your engine is running right?

ones good for letting you know your overheating on a WOT run, essentially letting you know if your leaning out. Water temp is too slow for that kinda thing.

Check out www.timskelton.com. His gauge set up is very nice if you want to read just about everything.

Setting up the gauges on a toggle with multiple senders lets you look at all sorts of variables if you want to keep any eye on things.

Side: LOTR is Lord of the Rings.
