ok i've tired search, because i remember seeing something on this a while ago.

anyway, this weekend, i pulled everything down the the inter cooler.

washed the inter cooler out, ported and polished the plenum, and ported and polished the mid intake.

now my question is the mid intake has those 4 bumps on each side, i remember some guy cutting them off and smoothing them out to flush.

what info can i get on that while its off.

Don't bother, those little casting bumps have no ill effects on incoming airflow what so ever.

 

toooo late, i already cut two of them off. oh well
