Head to AutoZone and 'rent' a power steering puller/installer.

It has an install tool that will press the pulley on the rest of the way.

NOTE: Make sure your truck is cold when you press it on the rest of the way.

Bada BING!, or something.

When I did my upper pulley it came with two different length screws. I used the longer one to start, once I couldn't get the pulley all the way on I used the shorter one to get it on the rest of the way.

Holy triple post Batman....You must be using the JLP puller, its the same one I used numerous times....Every single time except 1 time the pulley sat flush ewith the snout. The 1 time is was only off by a mm and I just left it that way...5000 miles and problem free.

understood Chief.

However, 1/8" isn't aligned properly IMHO.

I struggled a bit with JL's pulley installer (his removal tool ROCKS BTW) then went the AutoZone route for the press. much easier and doesn't cost a penny.

Same thing happen to me too, I even broke the bolt trying to force it on the rest of the way. The next day I switched to a smaller screw like Dirt said, I also removed the washer I was going through before threading it in the S/C snout.
THAT SEEMED TO DO IT, it then went right on like it should have
in the 1st place

GOOD LUCK
