Powdercoated the '03 rims!!
Love it or hate it... I love it, and that's all that counts!!!
I'm glad I took the plunge. I wanted it to look a bit different, and I also wanted a wheel/tire that wasn't bigger than 18" as I want the 1/4 mile times to stay low.
These are '03 rims, powdercoated "matte black".
I couldn't figure out how to just add one pic so here's my freebie webpage. I believe most of the truck pics are on page 2...

They look great. I am also into that whole "dark wheel" look. Sweet truck. I like that Vette too.

I had that "fresh off the farm" dry look going on the tires, couldn't get away with no armor all! 
They were just installed by Discount and weren't looking too pretty. I didn't wipe off the extra "sheen" before the pics, just looks shinier than what it really is.
My first thought when I saw the wheels on "This thing looks menacing!!"

Powder Coating Rocks
I am looking for 03 rims to powdercoat black for my track tires; Toyo RA-1 295-35-18.
Those rims would look great on my truck in addition to my red ones.

Looks good! I've been thinking of doing the same with my red 03 L and adding a black plastic tonneau cover instead of the ususal red.
I saw a previous thread where someone painted the grill black and that could tie the whole truck togeter.

Looks good! I've been thinking of doing the same with my red 03 L and adding a black plastic tonneau cover instead of the ususal red.
I saw a previous thread where someone painted the grill black and that could tie the whole truck togeter.
Kind of like the rug that tied the Dude's room together.

very nice!!
I have a set of 99 wheels kicking around. Plan is to have them done the same way and put them on the HD for summer.
Chrome wheels are nice but L wheels ROCK!
