Thanks Rob! Does that box have any clearance issues? The end towards the blower looks like it sticks up rather high

one thing i dont like about mine is how the cruise control cable sits on it, or gets pushed way over by the corner.

NO CLEARANCE ISSUES AT ALL

But your right about MINE sitting high,
thats because mine is set up a little differant.
This is my 3rd Cool Air set up, I originally made a box
and tried a few diff piping configurations. 2-1/2", 3", and 4"
On this one I decided to pipe it with Hard 3" Stainless Steel SMOOTH Tubing and only make one 45 degree turn, and one 60/90 degree turn. Since there's no flexability in the pipe,
I had to hold it up a little more than usual, but it's been like that for quite some time now and does not hit or get in the way of anything. Plus it actually works a little like Sals (PSP) by being much closer to the Hood when it's closed. YOU WANT THAT,
remember it's taking in air from "3" diff places. The open top, the original factory fender inlet, and also the hose, or in my case 3" pipe to the front grill.

This is what I took out, FULL 4" Flexible Pipe

This is what I put in, (not all of it, but thats the stuff)
Black is what I took out

This is the JLP Box with the 3" Stainless 45 on it

This is the box laying in there with the 45 and the pipe

Pipe coning through

This is what it looks like all done

NO IT DOESN'T HIT
That angle makes it look closer than it is.
It has never hit

If you curently have a stock set up, or an open Filter
YES it will add HP, but with any open filter, "or" boxed filter,
remember that it's taken it's air from a hot engine compartment.
The ideal situation is to give it the coolest air possible.
This is very important especially at the track. Why do you think my Nitrous took a full second off my 12.8's and made it 11.81.
The colder the air, the more fuel you can burn, the more fuel you can burn, the faster it goes

Either Way, your making the right choice with the JLP Box
BEST OF LUCK
