Reset after removing chip

Reset after removing chip

Do you guys know if I have to "reset" anything after removing my chip and then putting it back in. If so, how do i do it??

shouldn't have to .. But unhooking the battery terminal
resets the adaptive fuel tables ....

I disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes.

yeah i did do that, but i heard of some people "reseting" their computers by turning the key 10 times or so....but i didn't remember what it was for....i had to take my chip out the other day for the # on the back and didn't even think if i had to do anything to reset it....thanks

Negative terminal is the one that should be taken off so you don't arc across something, however removing either cable will reset the computer.

99% of people use the neg. terminal for that reason. I thought it was obvious that a break in the circuit (pos or neg) would result in a reset. Maybe I was wrong

After battery disconnect I let Truck idle for a minute or two after starting.
