I got a few dumb questions about Preditor

my truck came with a few mods, and supposidly it was tuned with PSP chip for the mods I have (chip,90mass air, 4lb pully, flowmaster, johnny lightning ram air, it20 plugs)

anyway, i was thinking of adding a few things (3:73 gears, ftvb, etc) and dont wanna have to keep sending the chip back and forth to psp everytime i add something and not be able to drive it while i wait..

so i was thinking this preditor is perfect....

am i correct, i just plug it up to the truck and tell it what I have? i mean each time i add something new, i can just reprogram it myself??

i saw this

5 Standard Tunes for 1999-2000 Lightnings
--Tune 1 - For Factory Stock Boost Level (8 lbs)
--Tune 2 - For up to 12-14 lbs of boost total (+4 to +6 over factory)
--Tune 3 - For Factory Boost Level (8 lbs) for Ford 90mm MAF
--Tune 4 - For up to 12-14 lbs of boost total (+4 to +6 over factory) for Ford 90mm MAF
--Tune 5 - Factory HP Tune (Stock Tune): Factory calibration tune only (allows use of below end-user options with factory tune).

would tune 4 be for me???

and how much if any would this be better than the psp chip i currently have?

What you can also do, is get the Predator from us with the interface kit, then we can e-mail you custom programs (like the ones on your PSP chip) to load on to your Predator and load in the truck. No downtime .

i guess basically what im asking is... when someone gets a psp chip or other brand, do they actually program it for EVERY little thing like ftvb or 90mass air or exhaust, etc

and does this predator offer the same thing, just the capabilities of doing yourself?

hey lightning tuner...

just the man i wanted to speak too.... is it possible for you to check your system to see if the chip i have is really programed correctly for my truck?? seller told me to just give you his name and you should be able to look it up and tell me what its programed for... if this is correct, look up Jason Moon, 2000 LIghtning....

he was the last owner who bought the chip from you

If you can pull the chip out, there is a label I put on it that lists the program names. If you can get me that info, it will make it easier for me to look it up.

well i tried to just go look, but its already dark here and i cant see very well... it looks like the chip has masking tape or something around it.... and i was afraid to just tear off the tape... is there a reason that would be on there? i dont have a flashlight here at work either... so might be tomorrow before i can have anything for ya

The tape is there to keep the chip from falling out. Just as a precaution.

Just replace it with new tape after you've checked your chip and put it back.

Sal,

I already ordered the predator from another vendor, will I be able to still get tunes from you. I want to add nitrous before next summer, and wanted to use the prdator to reflash it with the correct tune. If your tunes are compatible, What will be the charge for me to email you my file and you adjust it accordingly.

Mike
