Metco idler pulley

It really looks nice, but has anyone seen any performance gains?
[either Dyno #'s or E.T. improvment]
I've heard some say they have seen increased boost.
Who's got the best price on them?
Thanks!

Badbolt, I have three words for you.............Buy it today! I can't brag about improved times or hp, because I haven't been to the track or to a dyno since I installed it, but the boost builds much quicker and I hold a constant 16lbs, where as before I would notice fluctuations between 14 - 16.

Mind you I also have a reichard upper, but no belt dust anymore to boot.

I bought mine from JLP and also bought the larger second idler wheel. I can't remember what I paid, maybe just under $300 including shipping and eveything, I do remember the extra idler wheel was $90 bucks.

Great mod in my opinion.

D-Day

I can't say I've increased boost, but I can say it feels tighter. I dont know how to explain it. It isnt more throttle responsive, but I can tell it's there. (or it's another mind over matter thing...)
I've just heard that you get a lot more belt surface area with the idlers. It covers like an extra 20%... I put it on and I think it was worth the money, and I am not a huge fan of bling...
Before...

After...

It looks pretty cool too.

Well, if I plan to run a smaller upper pulley i'd prolly need it for sure.I already have an 8lb lower [HD F150] and Dyno'd 406RWHP and 536 RWTQ @ a very conservative 10.7 max A/F.
I could re-burn for more power or maybe go with the smaller upper. What do y'all think?

I can tell you that it did make a difference in my times. They got more consistant.

I am running a 6lb lower and a 2lb upper. Before the metco pulley upgrade, I was getting mountains of belt dust after one or two passes. After the upgrade, I get no dust.

Another Lightning owner/friend just recently did the upgrade and saw an actual boost improvement on his.

I think wether or not you see improvement, depends on how much belt slip your getting before the upgrade. If your not slipping before the Metco, it won't make a bit of difference, since there is nothing to fix.

On mine it would pile up in my idler pulley's and on the top of the bracket they mount to.
