Quick question about electric fan?

Hey guys......

I just started using the heater more in the truck and noticed that the electric fan cuts on and off while the heater is on.... about every 30 seconds or so........this is no matter how cold or hot the actual motor is. In other words I go out in the morning start the truck, turn the heater on and while I am walking back in the house.......the fan is running......Is that normal.....or should it just come on when the motor is actually at running temp. or when the AC compressor is running? Thanks for any help!!!

Later,
Chris

since your fan is wired into the a/c clutch relay whenever the a/c clutch cuts on the fan will also. The a/c and a/c clutch kicks on eventhough you are using heat.

Thanks for the quick reply Spanky.......

I would assume that is an OK set-up right? Seems like it might be working the fan more than it has to......Just wondering.....Thanks for the help......

Chris

I have Mads three stage controller and since it doesn't tie in to the A/C clutch but uses a temp sensor on the condensor I don't have this problem.
