The catch on the upper console that holds the garage door opener broke last week. I called the parts department at the local Ford dealer and was surprised to find that you cannot buy just the door. You have to buy the complete console for $180!!. Does anyone know of a source for just the door lid or have one they don't need. Thanks in advance.

 

All I can say is when my head light motor burnt out in my old T/A, Pontiac would only sell the whole unit. So I went to Chevy and got the one little part I needed. So maybe try Lincoln or Mercury?

When I needed a single gasket for the old style tonnou(whatever) cover from ford, they told me I need to buy the entire cover and assembly! BS....

Need to try and find one of those guys that have a custom piece where they would have theirs laying around. In fact, I think I remember the other day seeing an L somewhere on this board that put in a sunroof, and didnt have that piece in. Ill trying looking around for ya.
